Accident on the Sagamu-Ore highway kills two and injures seven

A tragic accident at J4 on the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode-Ore expressway in Ogun State claimed the lives of two people and injured seven more to varied degrees.

On Saturday at approximately 3:35 pm, a truck with the license plate SRA584XB and a Chevrolet SUV with the license plate WWW75MW were involved in an automobile accident.

The collision was confirmed in a statement made by Florence Okpe, the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.

The accident killed one male and injured one lady, according to Okpe. There were six men and one woman hurt.

The crash was allegedly caused by traveling at a high pace as well as a roadblock. The driver of the jeep was going too fast and collided with the station truck.

The statement states that the injured victims were taken to the hospital for medical assistance by a kind-hearted driver who was following them, and that the bodies were placed at the state General Hospital morgue in Ijebu-Ode by FRSC operatives.
