Baker Hughes is given the green light to dispose of old explosives by the police

Official authorization to render and dispose of expired explosive items under Baker Hughes Company Limited’s control has been granted by the Rivers State Police Command.

According to a statement issued by Grace Iringe-Koko, the command’s public relations officer, the disposal exercise is set to occur from March 12th to the 15th, 2024.

According to the announcement, the procedure will be overseen by the command’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team and would start every day at 9:00am in the Kporghor hamlet, Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The Command has issued a public service announcement informing the public and Kporghor community inhabitants that they need not be concerned by any noises made during the drill.

Furthermore, the police have guaranteed that every safety measure has been taken to lessen the impact of any dangers.
