Businessman Richard Akinaka of the Niger Delta has commended President Bola Tinubu on the prompt and fruitful reopening of the petroleum refinery in Port Harcourt.

The re-opening of the refinery will dramatically affect Nigeria’s oil production and economy, according to Akinaka, founder of oil and gas service business Abitto Global Services Ltd.

While speaking to reporters in Yenagoa, he made the praise.

He claims that the national currency and foreign exchange inflow would be relieved by the refinery’s renovation and restart of production.

As an added bonus, he said it will help Nigeria get closer to its goal of importing no petroleum oil products at all.

According to Akinaka, the contractors Technomont and the management team at the Port Harcourt Refinery, headed by Mr. Ibrahim Onaja, have been absolutely fantastic in their efforts to get the refinery back up and running.
