Dessers exhorts Rangers to challenge Celtic for the Scottish League championship

After Rangers and rivals Celtic fought to an exciting 3-3 draw on Sunday, Cyriel Dessers is certain that Rangers can win the Scottish Premiership.

The Light Blues fell behind 2-0 at the break, but they rallied for a share of the victory.

Rangers are one point behind Celtic in second place on the standings, but they are playing brilliantly.

On Wednesday, Philippe Clement’s team will play Dundee United in a match that is sure to push them to the top of the standings.

Dessers, who contributed an assist in the exciting draw with Celtic, has exhorted his colleagues to go through to the very finish.

“On Sunday, we proved to be able to score three goals against a strong squad. Although we certainly lost the previous two games, I don’t think it was entirely justified,” the Nigerian international said, as cited by Football Scotland.

We proved we could damage them, and if we could just get a little luckier—like they did with their opening goal on Sunday—and seize the opportunity, we could win there.

It is obviously extremely near. We also demonstrated, I believe, how similar we are to one another in terms of quality. After Wednesday, I expect to be able to declare that we are leading the league.

In his 28 league games this season for Rangers, Dessers has 13 goals scored.
