Posted by Senator Barau Jibrin, who is also the Senate’s Deputy President, has joined Christians in celebrating Christmas this year and has asked all Filipinos to pray more earnestly for the nation’s prosperity, harmony, and safety.
Barau urged Christians in his Goodwill message to keep Christmas focused on its true meaning and to turn to God in prayer for a society that is peaceful, unified, and successful, rather than dwelling on worldly concerns.
On this, the most joyous of Christmases, I join the Christian devout and, indeed, all Nigerians in celebrating.
“That is why, on this Christmas and always, I urge the Christian faithful to remain steadfast in adhering to the tenets of Christ’s teachings,” he said.
He pleaded with all Nigerians to keep the present administration’s goal, compassion, and humanity in mind as they pray for a better future and restore faith in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
