The school feeding program has been moved from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to the Ministry of Education under President Bola Tinubu’s directive.

The announcement was made by Prof. Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education, during a one-day retreat for all the Chief Executive Officers and Directors of parastatals under the ministry on ministerial deliverables (2023 – 2027) on Thursday.

The president of Nigeria has re-instituted the school feeding program in basic education as part of his agenda to tackle the learning crisis and the problems of out-of-school children, according to Prof. Tahir. These issues are affecting the country as a whole.

The initiative has been in operation for a long time before it was discontinued by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, as reported by GODZGENERALBLOG
