Eid-ul-Fitri: Bayelsa Police Command wishes Muslims a happy and safe holiday while ensuring security

The Bayelsa State Police Command has guaranteed sufficient security for the state’s Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.

CP Alonyenu Francis Idu, the Commissioner of Police, gave the Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Tactical and Operational Teams instructions to uphold the Command’s proactive policing approach during that time.

In a statement issued by ASP Musa Mohammed, the Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the CP, the Muslims in the state were congratulated on their readiness for the celebration of Sallah.

“On behalf of the officers and men of the Command, the Commissioner of Police, CP Alonyenu Francis Idu, sends hearty felicitations to the good people of Bayelsa State, particularly the Muslim Ummah in the state, as they get ready to celebrate the impending Eid-el-Fitri Sallah festival.

In order to do this, the Commissioner of Police has given the heads of tactical and operational teams, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and DPOs instructions to uphold the proactive policing approach of the Command.

They have the responsibility of maintaining complete control over their designated security zones and guarding against any possible security lapses both before and after the celebration.

Therefore, the CP exhorts the devout Muslims to be watchful and mindful of the occasion’s spirit. The statement advised reporting any suspicious activity or people right away to the closest police station or by calling 09167322691 / 09167322691.
