Holidays: IPAC Calls on Government to Address Nigerians’ Well-being and Security

On the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebrations, the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has extended its felicitations to Christians throughout the nation.

In their service to God and nation, Christians should follow Jesus’ example and embrace His virtues of love, peace, unity, and tolerance, according to IPAC.

For Christians, the birth of Jesus Christ, who came to earth to save sinners, is the most important reason to celebrate Christmas.

Using the opportunity to pray for the nation, IPAC asked Nigerians to focus on the security and economic issues that have stymied progressive governance in the country.

In a statement signed by Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, its National chairman-elect, IPAC urged all levels of government to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians through the dividends of democracy, as stated in section 14 (2)b of the 1999 constitution as amended, which states that the primary purpose of government is the security and welfare of the people.

In its role as the governing organization of all Nigerian political parties, IPAC has pledged to keep working for a more democratic Nigeria that is strong, fair, prosperous, and just.
