A pledge to prioritize women’s welfare and defend their rights, as well as to highlight their crucial role in nation development, was made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

In a statement commemorating International Women’s Day, the president characterized women as the center of the nation. The message was signed by his media aide, Ajuri Ngele.

According to the president’s statement, women’s remarkable accomplishments in Nigeria and around the world serve as a symbol of the strength, resilience, courage, and creativity of women everywhere. It also highlights their unique role as messengers of hope and a call to action.

“Invest in Women: Accelerate progress” is the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, and President Tinubu says it aligns with his administration’s policies on educating and empowering women. These policies aim to make sure women have a say in every part of the economy’s development and that they are included in governance.

“According to the president, his administration is dedicated to investing in girls’ education and promoting programs and initiatives that empower girls to play an active role in the fields of knowledge, science, technology, research, and innovation going forward.”
