Muslim devotees are expected to apply the values of selflessness, empathy, and sacrifice demonstrated during the fasting season outside of Ramadan, according to Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni.

In a Sallah message, Buni also urged Muslims to share the spirit of the season with their neighbors through his Director General Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed.

“I encourage all of us to carry the teachings of selflessness, kindness, and sacrifice demonstrated throughout the fasting period beyond the month-long religious requirement of Ramadan as we celebrate Eid-el-fitr.

“The extensive feeding program that the government, private citizens, and business organizations have made available to orphans, low-income families, and other vulnerable populations really impresses me. Buni stated that even after Ramadan, this should be promoted.

He exhorted the populace to keep praying for the unity, peace, security, and prosperity of the entire nation and praised security agencies for their contributions to the state’s peace and stability.

According to the governor, the government will start a program this year to help Yobe State undergo an agricultural revolution in order to improve food security and sufficiency.

This is my chance to make a plea to Yobe State’s excellent citizens, particularly our vibrant youth, to utilize this intervention to discover, develop, and maximize the agricultural potential in each of your many towns.

“The goal of our government is to increase the state’s agricultural output, appeal, and profitability. The governor stated, “This is to promote food security and sufficiency in the state.”

He gave the populace the assurance that the government would keep funding the infrastructure required to accelerate development and enhance people’s quality of life.
