Nasarawa University Governing Council Appoints Jega as Chairman

Professor Attahiru Muhammadu Jega, a former head of INEC, is now serving as pro chancellor and head of the governing council at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK.

Governor Abdullahi Sule made the appointment.

In a formal statement issued in Lafia on December 18, the declaration was made by Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma-Aliyu, who is the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Mrs. Mary Enwongulu, a former lawmaker, and Alhaji Shuaibu Abdullahi Kore, a former secretary to the state government, are the other members of the Governing Council.

Dr. Ahmed Gero and Mr. Thomas Ari Ogiri, who was previously the head of the service, are also members of the council.

The official inauguration of the Governing Council will occur at the appointed time, according to the announcement.
