Posted by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu’s family praised the President-General, the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and the governors of the Southeast for supporting the Biafra agitator since his extraordinary rendition in 2021 on Sunday.
The family of Biafra agitator Umaru Kanu also expressed gratitude to the National Assembly, the Southeast governors, the joint body of traditional rulers, bishops and archbishops, and the Chairman for their roles in the trial.
Kingsley Kanunta Kanu, speaking on behalf of the family, issued a statement urging the people who have been wrongfully implicated and blackmailed as a result of Kanu’s trial to persist.
He pleaded with them to distinguish these forms of extortion as the nefarious plotting and treachery of individuals opposed to Kanu and the Southeast.
Our brother and family patriarch, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been subjected to extraordinary support and devotion to the pursuit of justice ever since his rendition from Kenya, and we, his siblings, would want to extend our deepest gratitude for this.
With special thanks to a number of prominent citizens and politicians from the Southeast, we have taken note of your steadfast determination to get his release from jail and any additional assistance you have given, whether it has gone unrecognized or not.

Please do not give up or give in to the blackmail or unfounded charges that have been leveled against you; instead, view them for what they really are: the nefarious plots and betrayals of those who do not wish Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Southeast well.
Your extraordinary efforts and constant support have been much appreciated. Your efforts have been greatly appreciated, and we eagerly await the chance to see the fruition of your interventions.
