Posted by Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has presented 746 officers with decorations for their recent promotions.
Adeleke Kehinde, a spokesman for the Command, said this in a statement that DAILY POST acquired on Saturday.
While presenting decorations to the newly promoted officers at the Osun NSCDC headquarters in Osogbo, Commandant Agboola Sunday characterized the elevation as a recognition of outstanding performance, unwavering commitment, perseverance, loyalty, and discipline.
The newly promoted officers were urged by Agboola to view their promotion as a stepping stone in their professional journey.
For their approval of the promotions, he praised Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of the Interior, and Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Commandant General.
The impression they’ve left on the Corps, he said, will be hard to erase.
Newly promoted officers were also encouraged by him to provide reasons for their promotion.
In carrying out your responsibilities, I implore you to adopt a spirit of selflessness. Raise the bar in your fight against crime and for public safety in Osun state.
I want to add that people who were not successful in the promotion process should not let it discourage them. “Keep up the good work and keep believing that your promotion will come when it’s supposed to,” he advised.
In his message of goodwill, Air Vice Marshal A.I. Amodu of the Nigerian Air Force Research and Development Centre, Osogbo, urged them to be more diligent and committed because their performance on the promotion would determine whether they advanced further in their careers.
He emphasized the need of being ready for the responsibilities that come with the new status.

There are thirty-three assistant commandants, thirty-six chief superintendents, and one hundred twenty superintendents of corps. Plus six deputy commandants.
Along with the above, there are 127 Deputy Superintendents of Corps, 295 Assistant Superintendents of Corps (I), and 119 Assistant Superintendents of Corps (II).
