Oyo: The N438.4bn Appropriation Bill for 2024 has Governor Makinde’s approval

The N438.4 billion Appropriation Bill for the 2024 fiscal year has been assented to by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Friday.

Makinde pledged to see that the budget met its performance targets in a short statement he gave after signing the paper in the Executive Chamber of the Government House.

To ensure that the budget for the fiscal year was effectively implemented, he sought the backing of both the politicians and the organized labor.

According to NAN, the governor submitted a budget proposal to the House of Assembly on December 5th, titled “Budget of Economic Recovery,” with a total of N434.2 billion.

It was split evenly between capital expenditures (N222.3 billion) and recurring expenditures (N211.8 billion).

Politicians, on the other hand, added N4.2 billion to the original estimate, making it N438 billion.
