On December 20, 2023, near IIashe beach in Lagos, the fashion designer and LGBT campaigner supposedly drowned.
The news of her passing was disclosed on Friday by Vincent Desmond, a freelance journalist.
We, and many others, found hope and brightness in Fola Francis. Her passing has severely affected us.
“Her friends and family are requesting privacy at this time, so discussions about a memorial will be held at a later date,” he said.
Fola, a transgender person, made history at Lagos Fashion Week by walking the runway for Cute-Saint and Fruché.
