Relatives reach consensus to lay ex-3SC coach to rest in Ibadan – Son

Ibadan, capital of Oyo State, will be the site of Philip Boamah’s funeral. He was a former player and coach for Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).

The news broke early Thursday morning at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan that Boamah, a Ghanaian national, had passed away.

He was seventy-four years old when he passed away.

But according to Kevin Olugbenga, the deceased’s eldest son, the family has decided to bury him in Ibadan.

On Friday in Ibadan, he made this announcement while receiving club officials.

The club’s administration was present at the home of the dead to offer their condolences, according to our source.

During his statement to the club’s upper management, the eldest son disclosed that the late footballer’s burial in Ibadan had been unanimously decided upon by all of his relatives in Nigeria and Ghana.
