Terrorists from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) attacked the Gubio Police Divisional Office in Borno State, killing one policeman and stealing one vehicle.
This was revealed on Friday by Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency specialist in Lake Chad, in a post on X.
As per Zagazola’s account, the assailants rode up in two Hilux cars and multiple motorcycles before opening fire in a random assault on the Police Divisional Office.
One police inspector paid the ultimate price when interacting with the terrorists, according to his sources.
Moreover, the terrorists allegedly stole a police vehicle that was in use.
