An injunction prohibiting the All Progressives Congress (APC) from holding elections or selecting a successor for Comrade Abdullahi Masi, the state’s suspended youth leader, was issued by the Nasarawa State High Court, which is sitting in Lafia.

On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, the order was given by Justice Abdullahi Shams Shama, who is the vacation judge.

To stop his successor from being chosen as the APC’s youth leader in Nasarawa State, Masi had gone to court.

Respondents in the case with the case number NSD/LF113/2023 included the APC, the party’s state chairman, and two individuals.

Justice Shama issued an interim injunction in Wednesday’s judgment, prohibiting the respondents from substituting Comrade Masi until the notice motion is decided.

The party removed Comrade Masi, an experienced young mobilizer, from office one year ago on charges of misbehavior and anti-party activity.
