In the match against the Partenopei, Cubarsi subdued Osimhen, marking his Champions League debut.
In the first minutes of the match, the 17-year-old made a crucial tackle that stopped Osimhen from scoring.
The central defender also blocked a potentially deadly cut-back by Zambo Anguissa that the Nigerian attempted to connect with.
Throughout the entire game, Osimhen was only able to manage one shot on goal.
In his postgame interview, the teenager credited Barcelona coach Xavi with providing him with all the information he needed to counter Osimhen.
Man of the Match was awarded to Cubarsi following the match.
